Local Merchants Show Lacks Enthusiasm for Bazaar
Lordsburg merchants showed less interest in this year’s Merchants Day Bazaar than last year as participation from businesses and citizens declined. The chamber urges firms to share ideas for improvement while announcing door prize winners Frances Chavez Angel Brotz Delia Bender Lonnie Camacho Judy Chase Clayton Yarborough and Lucina Jones. Winners may claim prizes Monday afternoon. A joint meeting of county city and chamber was held and a follow up is scheduled for Monday November 28 at Jim's American Restaurant at 9 30. All city council Hidalgo commissioners and chamber board members are urged to attend as broader discussion will follow. The chamber wishes a safe holiday weekend and asks readers to reflect on Thanksgiving.
