Hilario Talavera brought in the first fine back on opening day. Dr. J. H. Baxter and Robert Prugle returned with two bucks after a morning trip beyond the McWhorter ranch. A hunting party, Nat Gammon, Louw Robinson and Donald Johnson, spent six days in the north country and brought back four turkeys. Alvin Parker and Junior Chase tried for turkeys at dawn but found other hunters camped there and failed to bag any game.
