Music lovers enjoyed a rare within the Lordsburg observance of National Week as concerts sponsored by the Lordsburg Woman's Club filled the high school auditorium. The program featured church and school musicians of all ages, with Mr R B as master of ceremonies and G L Hatch presenting the opening number "Gied Banner" joined by Knights of Pythias members and Miss Romney on piano.

PTA Delegates Convene At New Mexico State Meet
Two hundred sixty delegates attended the Annual meeting of the New Mexico Congress of Parents and Teachers in Clovis on April 26 to 28 1951. The Lordsburg PTA was represented by Mrs Lola Freeburg state vice president Mrs Pansy Stubbs and Miss Clara Shoemaker. State officers attended pre and post convention meetings as well. Registration began at the Clovis Hotel at noon Thursday with a chuck wagon supper that evening.

The Lordsburg Safety School held its first meeting at City Hall with state patrolman John Bradford leading. AAA instructor Paul Probert urged safe driving attitudes and identified dangerous drivers such as road hogs and speeders. A second session is planned this Friday at 7 30.
