The All Year Nate Richway caravan will reach Lordsburg via Douglas on April 4 at 10 20 a.m. It will stop for a half hour then depart for Deming at 10 00 a.m. Cars will be gassed and oiled. Lordsburg plans to showcase as a southern highway converging point.
Lordsburg welcomed El Paso officials with a Thursday luncheon. Mayor Poe praised the city as the greatest little city in the world. Visitors toured local mines schools and sites, and were hosted by the Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce directors. Representative John T. Muir spoke among others.

Mining man Frank G. Cline unearths a large knee-cap like bone from diatomaceous earth near Duncan. Secretary Holt and archeologist Gol M. A. Crimmins examined it and sent two photographs to the Smithsonian Institution for identification.
The Lordsburg Rifle Club will host White Signal in a five man team match at the Lordsburg range six miles west of town. The five Lordsburg shooters were recent elimination contest winners with strong scores. The White Bignat team is prepared for a competitive bout expected to run three to four hours with visitors welcome.
Five large trucks carried a large oil derrick toward Willcox Arizona on Sunday night. Two more trucks followed with equipment. Observers expect a deep oil test about ten miles from Willcox with direction unknown.
The Liberal office experienced a thirteen second power outage on Thursday, a rarity for Texas Louisiana Power Company service. Workers noted it had not happened in eight months of their tenure, marking a notable brief disruption.

Anton Mazzanovich announces a new four part volume The Southwest Frontier to go to press in June. The book covers pioneer photographs mine camps towns from Yuma to El Paso and true adventure stories from his Apache era. Mrs. Farle Kerr won high score at the Wednesday bridge club hosted by Chon Mre Nat Gammon. Guests included Mesdames Bill Gratame and fr. &. Lewis. Refreshments followed the game.
A Deming farmer told Pacific Greyhound driver Guy A. Turner that the big bus passes his place at the exact same minute daily. Turner has driven the Douglas El Paso line about 100 days and has never reached El Paso, five minutes late. Drivers rarely carry watches as they time trips so precisely.
Nate McCutchan John Davie and W Neher passed through Lordsburg en route to Kansas City after visiting the Dos Cabezas mine near Willcox Arizona They expect to have a fifty ton ore mill in operation at the mine within two months and report finding of good gold in sight to justify the erection of one mill milling to be carried on under the name of Dos Cabezas Gold Mining Company.
The United States, home to about four million Angora goats, leads global mohair output with an annual clip of roughly 17 million pounds. Mohair, valued for upholstery and automotive furniture, comes from Angora goats introduced in 1849, and most are in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, and Missouri.
C. F. Young becomes the new owner of the Lordsburg Variety store and takes charge this week. He plans a well stocked assortment aimed at meeting local needs and will adjust inventory as he learns the trade. Watch Liberal advertisements for updates.
J. W. Jackson, former Grant County commissioner and former superintendent of the mine, died suddenly at his Las Cruces home Monday night. Several Hidalgo county friends attended the funeral Wednesday. Survived by widow Naneyrg and seven children including Mrs J H Cross of Phoenix.

Mise Jewel Friend known as the French Doll will perform a parachute jump from a Curtiss Hobin monoplane piloted by John Osterhouse in Ordeburg on Sunday April 5. Osterhouse will also offer rides to passengers at 1.50 each in a government licensed plane.
Mrs. Ewald PiPe entertained Saturday afternoon at luncheon at her home. Guests included John T. Muir and Mrs. Muir recovering from a serious automobile crash en route from Santa Fe with Senator Lee Harland. Also present were Cornelius Sikkelees and son Fred of New Jersey James Cramer of California and Willard Holt among others. James Cramer is the grandson of Mr. Muir's brother.
G. W. Sherwood, auditor for the Texas Louisiana Power Company, conducted a routine audit of local books this week. He is described as a popular, quiet, and thorough auditor who travels to towns, performs his duties, and leaves without disturbance, earning the respect of the community.
Mayor A C Karger of Douglas and former booster resident John B Crowell visited Tuesday for a friendly call to show the roads are in good shape. They traveled in Karger's Buick, making the trip in two hours, Crowell notes.

Development continued at Kisbee and Righty hive mines and construction activities proceeded.
Copper Era notes HW Lovett was honored at a birthday dinner hosted at his son Joe Lovett’s home. He turned 71 on that day and guests included James from Duncan Emmett Lordsburg and daughter Mrs Wm Cosper with families. Claude Young buys business and leaves today for new home.
