All Year Navte Richway to Parade Through Lordsburg

The All Year Nate Richway caravan will reach Lordsburg via Douglas on April 4 at 10 20 a.m. It will stop for a half hour then depart for Deming at 10 00 a.m. Cars will be gassed and oiled. Lordsburg plans to showcase as a southern highway converging point.

Lordsburg Lions Host El Paso Officials Luncheon

Lordsburg welcomed El Paso officials with a Thursday luncheon. Mayor Poe praised the city as the greatest little city in the world. Visitors toured local mines schools and sites, and were hosted by the Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce directors. Representative John T. Muir spoke among others.

Lordsburg Rifle Club to Meet White Signal in March 29 Match

The Lordsburg Rifle Club will host White Signal in a five man team match at the Lordsburg range six miles west of town. The five Lordsburg shooters were recent elimination contest winners with strong scores. The White Bignat team is prepared for a competitive bout expected to run three to four hours with visitors welcome.

Large oil derrick shipment moves toward Willcox district

Five large trucks carried a large oil derrick toward Willcox Arizona on Sunday night. Two more trucks followed with equipment. Observers expect a deep oil test about ten miles from Willcox with direction unknown.

A Deming farmer told Pacific Greyhound driver Guy A. Turner that the big bus passes his place at the exact same minute daily. Turner has driven the Douglas El Paso line about 100 days and has never reached El Paso, five minutes late. Drivers rarely carry watches as they time trips so precisely.

Nate McCutchan John Davie and W Neher passed through Lordsburg en route to Kansas City after visiting the Dos Cabezas mine near Willcox Arizona They expect to have a fifty ton ore mill in operation at the mine within two months and report finding of good gold in sight to justify the erection of one mill milling to be carried on under the name of Dos Cabezas Gold Mining Company.

United States Leads World in Mohair Production

The United States, home to about four million Angora goats, leads global mohair output with an annual clip of roughly 17 million pounds. Mohair, valued for upholstery and automotive furniture, comes from Angora goats introduced in 1849, and most are in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, and Missouri.

J. W. Jackson Dies in Las Cruces

J. W. Jackson, former Grant County commissioner and former superintendent of the mine, died suddenly at his Las Cruces home Monday night. Several Hidalgo county friends attended the funeral Wednesday. Survived by widow Naneyrg and seven children including Mrs J H Cross of Phoenix.

Mrs. Ewald PiPe entertained Saturday afternoon at luncheon at her home. Guests included John T. Muir and Mrs. Muir recovering from a serious automobile crash en route from Santa Fe with Senator Lee Harland. The directors' report shows a net income of 1 036. The company paid a dividend of 8 per share for the first six months. Production reached 4800 719 pounds of copper, 1 ATB082 14 ounces and 104.6 ounces of copper. Smelter throughput totaled 671 808 dry tons of ore with shipments from C. A properties, Righty Five Mines, New Cornelia Mines, and custome and other customers. The acid plant operated with a vanetone of degree sulphur. Development continued at Kisbee and Righty hive mines and construction activities proceeded.
