The district asks voters to approve Bond Issue 6 to fund a new high school building at an estimated $45,000 with $5,000 for architectural and related costs. The plan includes a 16 room facility with library office and auditorium, aiming to ease crowded facilities and support growth.
The red headed Toby comedian Buddy LaVelle appears in a three act comedy drama at the Star Theatre Friday night with a fine supporting cast.
Supt J Ethan Wright led observers through Valedon schools in a tour praised as exemplary. Grades one through eight showed strong enrollment, high discipline, and bright rooms with wall and window decorations though some downstairs walls remain unfinished. The visit highlighted a model school district in the state.

Sam P. Fulton district engineer based in Deming has tested an improved road drag weighing about a half ton. The machine features heavy knives and is described as the district's best drag yet in use.

Manager Briel promises high class plays as Corinne Griffith’s Classified drew a large crowd. Next Monday Lillian Gish and John Gilbert star in La Boheme a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer sensation. Earlier, Colleen Moore’s Irene screens on Tuesday and Wednesday from First National.
The P T A held a Monday session with Mrs Gonner presiding. A motion to send the president and a selected member to the Raton April PT A eluate meeting was passed. The program included piano solos, vocal duets, a humorous recitation, and a citizen ship address by Rev Wilkerson. The group urged turnout for the April school bond election to help sell bonds at a premium.
Inspectors George Ray Edward Wilde and J B Moore return to Lordsburg and settle in permanent homes as the Department of Agriculture designates Lordsburg as the inspection point for tourist cars. Residents are urged to see the school picture in the Drug Store window and vote on April 8 to support making the project a reality.

He recalled a 1919 field landing near the Quill to the Pacific and spoke of cordial locals and the southern airway becoming the main route. Nelson and Ser. Sunday evening the Baptist Church presents a religious play titled How The Gospel Came To The Iowa Indians. It portrays the Indian’s keen desire for the gospel and God’s work among Native peoples. Admission is free with a free will offering benefiting mission work among the Indians.
Public notice announces a two week protracted meeting in Duncan Arizona starting March 28. The Church of Christ will preach by The Elkins of Alamogordo New Mexico with services weekdays at 7 45 pm and Sundays at 11 am 3 pm and 7 45 pm. Everyone is invited.

A car collision near Rodeo injured several officials but none seriously. Election of officers kept Andrews and Marshall in leadership with a dinner for visiting magnates and local dignitaries.
