Elizabeth Foster Rites Highlight Local Legion Auxiliary
The funeral for Elizabeth Foster was held at St Joseph Church with High Mass as Rev Grieve officiated. Burial followed in Mountainview Cemetery. Foster, born March 25 1876 in Beloit Wisconsin, was married to J B Foster in 1904 and later moved to Ordsburg. Several relatives attended from Wisconsin and Illinois. The American Legion Auxiliary held its regular meeting at Grace Wrights home with twelve members present. They ordered Service Recog booklets to sell at the Variety and planned a food sale with proceeds for charity. Members also reported onJunior activities waste paper collection and Easter favors. A pig bank fundraiser yielded 16.43 dollars.
