Former mayor Alan A. Koff won the mayor’s seat with 699 votes to Betty H. Lazar’s 556. All Independent council candidates prevailed over United Party rivals. Municipal judge Jesus J. Estrada led with 574 votes, and the council seats went to Richard W. Allen, John H. Frie, Eugene P Noce, Edward A. Diaz, David D. Warren, and Frank Orona Jr. with margins over their opponents.
