Lordsburg captured the Seventh Grade division of the Deming Junior High Invitational by beating Silver City 21 to 15 in the final after a 26 to 21 semifinal victory over Deming. Jerry Valdez topped the scoring with 14 in the final. Bobby Fagardo added seven in the final and accepted the championship trophy.
