City Corner outlines Lordsburg grants and projects February 28 1983

The city reports HUD talks for a 495000 Community Development Block Grant to rehabilitate 51 homes and pave six north side streets. Lordsburg receives 311200 to buy a wheelchair lift van for Senior Citizens, a UDAG process outline is given, and six applications since March 1982 yielded 507740 in funding or assistance. Plans include an Airport and Fire Dept projects, Tourist Information Center at an 880000 cost, and future grants for museums libraries seniors water law enforcement and parks.

Mobile One Schedule Stops in Lordsburg in March

Mobile One will visit Lordsburg in the second week of March with events at the Lordsburg RV Park on Tuesday March 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at the KOA on Wednesday March 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. BLM specialists will be on site to answer questions about programs.

State Supreme Court orders reconsideration of Ballinger murder ruling

The New Mexico State Supreme Court ruled this week that the state court of appeals must reexamine its murder verdict in the Warren Uecker case.
