City county and state police kept busy over the weekend as they investigated a fatal car crash near Rodeo and State Line in which Hammett of Los Angeles died. Hadden of Hunting Park injured with a broken leg and hospitalized. A rape case was reported with arrests after a late Saturday night inquiry. Robberies reported Sunday night targetting Jack Heather home Ritter Lumber Co and Bus Store at Rodeo.

Girl Scouts Return From Encampment at Thunderbird Camp
Four local Girl Scouts Wayne Mary Read Betsy Smith and Patsy Crouch attended the Annual encampment at Thunderbird Camp along the Mimbres River thirty miles from Santa Rita. Mrs Freeburg as leader and Mr G P Jeffus donated use of a pickup to carry bedrolls. Trained workers oversaw activities with Mrs Cobb lecturing on first aid and others in campcraft health textiles dramatics leathercraft and general camp procedures.

City installs iron street markers amid numbering plan
