Palace Theatre Fire Destroys Rear Section Tuesday Morning

Palace Theatre suffered a rear fire discovered around six am Tuesday while Mrs Allen was away in Denver. Investigators suspect a short circuit in a small rear electric plant started the blaze. Fire units confined the flames to the theatre with no damage to adjacent Fisher or Lehman stores. Insurance on the property is held by R. M. Reynolds and rebuilding awaits adjusters. The Allens’ new Second Street theatre is a shell due to government restrictions. The Liberal will report rebuilding progress as information becomes available. Authorities stress amusement is needed to curb juvenile delinquency.
