New Mexico 4-H Members Head to National Camp in Washington

Two New Mexico 4-H club members Alma Owen Cunico Colfax County and Fulah Marshal Dexter Chaves County will represent the state at the Ninth National 4-H Club Camp in Washington DC June 18. The trip honors top 4-H performers with a program including lectures by officials, visits to Mt. Vernon Smithsonian Institute Library of Congress and other landmarks, and daily nationwide broadcasts from different states.

Miss Grace Coffman the State Supervisor of Public Health Nurses and Miss Consuela Baca county health nurse for Luna County visited Lordsburg this week to confer with Miss Vera Hancock the county health nurse. Coffman recently took over the position formerly held by Miss Kennedy and progress is reported as fine. Trinidad Colorado was named in honor of Miss Baca’s great aunt Trinidad Baca.
