Fort Bliss Seeks 1000 Soldiers in July Recruitment Tour

Colonel M H Thomlinson, District Recruiting Officer, reports that units from the 2nd Field Artillery will tour Lordsburg July 16–17 to recruit for the U S Army. An Armored Car Squadron team will pass through July 1 and return about July 14, camping near the Lordsburg airport to enlist unemployed white men from Hidalgo County and nearby towns in Arizona.

Judge Carl P F Dunifen of Silver City visited Lordsburg on Wednesday to receive a $16000 bequest from the late Senator Cutting.
