V F W Post No. 3099 traveled to Deming for the New Mexico District 4 gathering with members from Deming Bayard and Hatch. District officers were elected with two Lordsburg members chosen Kiki Chaires as District Chaplain and Ernesto Renteria as trustee for three years. Jack Quay and family left June 17 for the Texas Society of Professional Engineers convention in El Paso. Quay has TSPE membership since 1950. Mrs Arias and relatives from Tucson visited. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Janet and Robert of California visit John Newsom family.
