The Olney Motor Co presents an 85 hp two ton Dodge motor truck with a refrigeration unit. It measures 21 feet three inches long, seven and a quarter feet wide, seven and a half feet high, resembling a small freight car. State 4-H Camp Dates Set At State College

The 18th annual State 4-H Club Encampment will be at State College from August 30 to September 3. Free lodging and subsistence on campus for club members and chaperones. attendance limited to 200, with each county limited to two delegates plus one local club leader.

A distinguished soil conservation party visited Lordsburg Thursday morning. Canyon area pioneer miner Juan Ruiz found dead after two day search

After two days of searching, Sheriff Cavin and Deputy Conner located Juan Ruiz, a 1 year old pioneer miner and goat herder from Lordsburg who had been missing a week. Coroner’s jury ruled death due to thirst and exposure after wandering away from the Red Rock district while pulling in goats for Montague Townsend. Funeral services were held at the Ruiz home with many neighbors in attendance. leaving a widow and four children.

Farm Livestock Meeting Declared A Success In New Mexico

The New Mexico Park and Livestock Bureau statewide meeting at State College on June 9 drew about 120 delegates from 17 counties. Officers were elected for two years, including President A W Hockenhull, First Vice President A H Gerdemann, and Second Vice President G D Hatfield with R K Buyens and Frank Hayner named Secretary and Treasurer. The gathering adopted new Articles of Association and a work plan, endorsed the American Park Bureau program, urged federal cooperation, and called for studies in cooperative marketing, rural roads, medical aid, and education to inform state and national legislation affecting farmers and livestock producers.
