Early Friday two fuel tankers from Dockum Distributing Co. and E. J. Short and Co. tried to fill hauling tanks at Shamrock station off I-10 and Main Street. Shamrock refused to fill hauling tanks, citing trespass potential and nonpayment issues while drivers pressed to buy Thrifty gasoline at $1.049 per gallon. Sheriff Darnell mediated, drivers charged with trespassing, trucks moved, and non-traffic citations issued. Other stations nearby showed regular gas prices around $1.199.
