Fishing Report Highlights Southwest Area Rivers and Lakes
The Game and Fish Department surveys last week show Elephant Butte catfishing excels on trotlines and rod and reel with cat baits and live minnows. Rio Grande at Elep Butte and Caballo remains poor for all species. Caballo Lake reports white bass and walleye down, few bass caught on live minnows, and crappie fair near the dam. Wall Lake Snow Lake and Willow Creek notes focus on Father’s Day fishing with general activity.
