Law Unknowlingly Violated Lodger's Tax Funds Policy
At a July 25 meeting Lordsburg Hidalgo County Chamber President Bill Collins told the board the city can no longer provide Lodger's Tax funds. A July 21 letter from Mayor Alan Koff stated the ledger tax funds cannot be disbursed to the chamber due to a law change effective July 1 1977. Collins said inquiries across the state followed this notice.
