Mary Umphres reports that Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Franklin of Kerrville Texas visited Lordsburg on Thursday June 28. The Franklin in 1938 at Hidalgo County jail were runaways from Dallas and later served in the Marines and Border Patrol. They toured the old jail and the new facility, praising its cleanliness and cameras, and hoped to return with better accommodations.

There will be no immunization clinic Wednesday June 25 because the Public Health Nurse attends an out of town workshop. The next clinic is August 8 and a special booster clinic for preschoolers and students is scheduled for August 15 from 8 00 to 11 30 AM in the City Council Chambers. The Lordsburg Zoning Commission will hold a meeting on Monday July 23 in the City Council Chambers.

Arrests Made In Marijuana Bust At Two Airports
