Lordsburg Hosts SOs Class Reunion II Weekend
Friday night kickoff marks LHS fiftieth reunion events with alumnae and friends. Saturday schedule includes Central School 10 to 11 A.M. with the Chickering Concert Grand Piano re acquired by 1940s and 1950s alumnae, then the new high school open between 11 and noon. A group photo is planned. Lordsburg Mayor Diaz proclaims July 23 as SOs Class Reunion II week and extends a cordial welcome.

The Lordsburg School System opens summer band with regular classes starting Monday August 6. 5th graders meet at 1 00 pm 6th at 2 00 pm and 7th and 8th at 3 00 pm. High school students who have never marched with the Mighty Maverick Band report 7 00 pm August 10. On Friday August 3 fifth graders desiring an instrument meet at DTMS between 1 00 and 3 00 pm. older students may also attend.

Lordsburg Water Tank Blow Up Still Unsolved Mystery
In Lordsburg sixteen years ago a 2.5 million gallon water tank exploded and collapsed. Police and engineers flagged possible explosives and high impact damage, with reports of nitrate residue and structural shock but no definitive cause or culprit ever identified.
