The New Mexico State Police Department assigned two patrolmen to Hidalgo County under the Deming State Police Office. Three Desert Sheep Found Dead At Red Rock
Three desert bighorn sheep from the San Andres herd were found dead at Red Rock Experimental Wildlife Station likely from poisonous plants or related illness. Two ewes are missing and presumed dead. a lamb euthanized after breaking a leg. Tests suggested possible plant toxins near corrals.
