The Animas Valley Growers Association has purchased a steam roller and feed mixer from Wagner Machine and Mill Supply of Denver. The eight ton per hour mill, installed by Dick Swan, will enable local grain mixing and rolling to create a valley grain market. The association will sell custom rolled grain and bulk steam rolled grain and plans a cattle feeding program to offset costs.

Three Injured In Highway 70 80 Crash East Of Town
Three men were hospitalized but not seriously hurt when a Ryder Rental Co. truck from California struck the left rear of a car driven by Jesus M. Guerrero of Los Angeles about 24 miles east of town on Highway 70 80 at 2 45 PM Tuesday. Guerrero and the driver William H. Goolsbee 23 of Waco Texas said they had just changed a tire and were traveling at 35 to 40 MPH toward Lordsburg when the truck approached and appeared to strike. The truck left the highway, damaged telephone lines and poles, and the service outage extended east from Lordsburg. The investigation was conducted by State Police Officers Rutland and Lindsey.
