Desperado W. C. Cook Targeted by Midnight Road Block
FBI directed road block north of Lordsburg since midnight Saturday January 6 to capture W. C. Cook the Oklahoma killer moving toward Albuquerque and California. Cook from Joplin Missouri has slain eight people, leaving a bloody trail across Oklahoma and Mexico with hard luck tattooed on his knuckles. Lawmen including FBI agents Kissiah Warren Davidson Riggs Taylor Wiehe Wolstenholme and local officers oversee the pursuit.

Worthy Advisor Installs for Rainbow Girls in Open House
Margaret Richards, daughter of Mr and Mrs A A Richards, was installed as Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Girls during an open house installation in the Masonic building on Tuesday evening January 2. Consolation at 7 pm and 8 15 pm with 3rd place. Championship at 9 30 pm Saturday with final winner earning first place.
