Virden Fire Claims Life Of Van Webb
Virden officials report Van Webb a Virden Volunteer Fire Department member died in a fire at the abandoned Thygerson Grocery store on State Highway. The blaze is believed caused by a heating stove. State Police Hidalgo County Fire Department Lordsburg Ambulance Crew responded as the building burned completely. Webb a Vietnam veteran resided inside the boarded up store.
