Anna Mae Hammond and Ralph Hunt Wright were married at the Baptisl Church with Rev. Sidney Hale officiating. The bride wore a blue suit with pink carnation corsage and used a cameo ring from the groom's mother as something old. The couple, both Lordsburg High School graduates, will reside in El Paseo after a reception and guests included family members and friends.
The library board met Monday for routine business. A list shows new acquisitions including Trail, Heritage of the Riv, A B C of Poultry Raising, Those Other People, It Makers, The Egg and I, The Women, Story of America, Aviation, Romance Behind Canes, The Book of 1945-46, Bernard Baruch.

The Kerr owned school bus overturned during towing on a road between Lordaburg and Steins. A battery sparked a short and gasoline ignited causing a fire. Mrs Kerr suffered a minor cut and Mrs Latham a black eye. No serious injuries reported.
Mrs Ralph Clark hosted a dessert bridge and stork shower for Mrs Alan Koff last Monday evening. Invited guests included Mesdmes Dick Rice James Baxter M Chase FE Short J R Poindexter Ella Brown Ben Cochran Thelma Ross Marshall Fuller Myrl Pierce Burke Stiles Dick Traylor H H Bryant Harr ry Galusha Lula White H B Scofield June Redford Hazel Harry Chase and Beas Johnston plus Misses Ima Fairly Helen Chase and Beas Johnston. Mrs Baxter won high score, Mrs Scofield was second, Mrs Pierce and Miss Ima Fairly shared traveling prize. Numerous gifts were given.
