The Copper Era editor visited The Liberal office and Judge Aker recalls Lordsburgh from 1905 to 1909 as the First Methodist minister. He notes one church two stores two restaurants a blacksmith shop and seven saloons. He praises civic improvements and city growth.

Richards Home Setting For Auxiliary Party
Mrs A A Richards hosted the American Legion Auxiliary on Tuesday evening December 20 at her home. Pine boughs tall candles and a decorated Christmas tree provided festive ambiance. Refreshments of fruit cake and coffee were served by Mrs Damon Dunagan Mrs Walter Dunagan Mrs Glen Dorsett and Mrs Paul Fierro. Games followed an exchange of gifts led by Mrs George Haltom and Mrs Roy Carson with special guest Mrs Roy Kerr of Silver City.
