Party of Young Couples Hurt in Auto Accident

A group of young people returning from a P T A meeting on Lordsburg Deming road were injured when their Whippet sedan lost control after a defective gas line. Injuries ranged from broken ribs to gashes and bruises. Several victims were treated at Lordsburg and Des Austin hospitals, with most returning home.

Pageant at Methodist Church Christmas Program

A Christmas pageant at the Methodist Church will be presented Thursday evening at 7:30. The program features processions with carols such as Hark the Herald Angels Sing Adeste Fideles We Three Kings and O Little Town of Bethlehem. The event includes a primary class Luther's Grace a story of the Wise Men and gifts of frankincense and myrrh with a Christmas talk by the pastor and choir performances.

Parent Teacher Association Meets Before Holidays at High School

A large crowd attended the PTA meeting at the high school on Monday night at 8. The program featured an invocation by Key Mins, vocal solos by Peggy Hore and Mary Wells, a Court of Honor presentation, Boy Scouts, and the Lordsburg Band. Me Holt gave the address. Afterward, about 90 attendees were served pumpkin pie with whipped cream and coffee.

LER Banquet Saturday to Honor Returning Men

The LER Club of Lordsburg High School will host a banquet and dance Saturday night to honor returning lettermen from Christmas vacation. Proceeds from the LL Club dance on December 12 will fund the event. About 2% couples are expected for the gala night, location to be announced.

Primary Sunday School Christmas Party at Methodist Church

Mrs L C Brown and Miss Ada Coyner hosted the Methodist church primary department's Christmas party on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. About 28 children attended, each bringing a gift for baskets for two adopted families. Relief Committee Reports Reduced Need of Aid in Town
