Juveniles Charged With Burglaries In Lordsburg
Eight Mexican juveniles from Juarez aged 12 to 15 were charged with three burglaries in Lordsburg. They were turned over to juvenile authorities. Victims include Amados Shell Service Center, Kountry Kitchen, and Lordsburg Auto Parts. Forcible entry used. losses include $250, two calculators, two dollars in change, six dollars in change, hats, and damaged juke box and vending machines.

Man Pleads Guilty in Minor Sex Charge With Lordsburg Man
Rudy Silvas of Lordsburg pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Sexual Contact with a minor. Judge Norman Hodges sentenced him to not less than two nor more than ten years in prison. The case stemmed from an investigation that began October 27, 1978, with a plea deal dropping a second count. Silvas will serve at the state penitentiary in Santa Fe. Santa Claus and helpers to visit Lordsburg Youth Center this Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. hosted by the Lordsburg Optimist Club.
