Three locals praised for lifesaving CPR effort on I 10
Three Lordsburg area citizens stopped after spotting a vehicle on I 10 and performed CPR on an elderly woman in cardiac arrest until Hidalgo County Ambulance Service arrived. They stabilized her briefly but she died that evening at Gila Regional Hospital. The rescuers named were Lordsburg officers Ray Taiiton and Rodney Plowman and Hidalgo County deputy Virgil Mayberry.
