Attempted Safe Break-In At Lordsburg High School
Last Monday night would be thieves tried to break into the Lordsburg High School office safe. A west hallway window was smashed and entry gained to the shop where tools were taken to force the safe door. They climbed to the attic and tried to breach the safe ceiling but failed. No items were reported missing. Police lifted fingerprints and found tire tracks matching a nearby station. A car behind the station was spotted and a Louisiana plate described. Authorities believe the suspects fled west from Lordsburg.
