Lordsburg North Central team wraps up Lordsburg visit
A North Central Association evaluation team completed a two and a half day Lordsburg visit with an exit report to school administrators. Retired Carlsbad High principal Bill Loos said accreditation comes from yearly principals reports. The team noted reduced absences, secure teacher climate, rising student morale, and offered curriculum improvement suggestions. A final written report will arrive within three weeks. Lordsburg steering committee members present included Phil Pressler, Wayland Sharp, Richard Moore, Norman Brines, and Ernesto.

Recreation Department Announces Winter Program Changes Lordsburg
The Lordsburg Recreation Department announces winter program changes. Women’s exercise classes move to Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Central School Gym. Guitar lessons and men’s basketball stay the same. New baton twirling lessons begin December 12 and 15 at the Youth Center, with registration December 7. WIC Program Expands to New Mexico Counties
The Health Services Division extends WIC eligibility to nutritionally high risk women and infants in Grant, Luna, and Hidalgo counties. Eligible participants include pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants up to one year old, and very high risk children aged one to five referred by physicians. Dr Arthur D Martinez will be guest speaker for a Christmas program by Optimist ESAA Title VII on December 18 at 7 p.m. at Lordsburg Community Cultural Center.
