Indians Win Last Game of 1951 Season
The Lordsburg Indians defeated Silver City 14 to 10 in the season finale at Silver City on Sunday. They surged to a 8 to 1 lead by the third inning and extended to 11 to 1 before Silver City rallied for 9 runs in the eighth. Registration for all students will be held Friday August 31 at 9 a m. Actual class work begins Tuesday September 4. The senitorial staff has worked over the summer to repair and refinish buildings and equipment for the opening. Wilson School received an exterior paint job and electric lighting. Cot ton City man shoots two and kills self at rural dance hall
Robert B. Stansberry of Cotton City shot and killed himself after wounding his wife and Don Still of Lordsburg outside a Lordsburg area dance hall 17 miles west at 1 30 Sunday morning. Owners described no prior trouble among the three.

Alberta peach tree bears twin peaches in one fruit
