Stolen Truck Driver Shot by NM Officer on I-10
Emmett Earl Moore Jr., 37, of Spanish Fort Alabama, drove a stolen truck from San Simon Arizona into New Mexico, leading a 55 mile chase on I-10 near Lordsburg Deming. Irene McHalffey Chaires died at home in Las Cruces on August 23 1993. She was survived by her father Garland McHalffey of Lordsburg and children Andrew Arredondo Dana Arredondo Adrian Nick Chaires Alison Gina, plus grandchildren David Patrick. Also survived by sister Patty Renteria Wilma Hoffman and son and daughter in Albuquerque and Tucson. Preceded in death by mother Eileen McHalffey. No memorial services will be held.
