Man Killed In Airplane Crash At Local Airport
A Republic Seabee crashed on Friday afternoon at 3 15 p m on the north side of the Lordsburg airport. Milton H Wagoner of Burbank California was killed and Dr D B Adams of Los Angeles California was seriously injured. The pair had purchased the plane in Des Moines Iowa and were ferrying it to Los Angeles. They stopped for fuel but only seven gallons were available. As they attempted takeoff and could not gain altitude they nosed over in a steep bank. Adams was thrown free while Wagoner remained trapped and had to be pried loose. Civil Aeronautics representative Frank Cazier from Albuquerque arrived on the scene.

Southwestern Firemen Set Convention in Lordsburg

Unidentified Man Killed On Highways 70 And 80
An unidentified man was struck and killed by a Braswell truck about 6:30 last Friday evening on Highway 70 east of Lordsburg. The victim, apparently intoxicated, was wandering along the road when he was hit. no identification was found.

Promoters Must Register for Charitable Fund Drives in Lordsburg

The bill, explained by Murray Hintz and Paul Corrigan in Lordsburg, mandates organizations file an application with the officers’ names and drive dates to obtain a state Certificate of Registration before holding any fund drive.
