The County Clerk’s Office will be open Saturday August 24 from 3 30 a m to 5 00 p m for absentee ballots for the August 27 primary. This is the final date to request a ballot. The Lordsburg Woman's Club was chosen to host the Fourth District New Mexico Federation Annual Convention in November. Local Swim Team Competes in District Meets Across Southwest

The Swim team traveled to Silver City for the Southwest District Championships on August 10 and 11 with members Larry Neal Caron Reay Knute Dockum Ruben Bassa Buster Estrada Aaron Richins Pisulette Huna Wanda Mesa George Lytle and Coach Freddy LaMarca. They earned 36 ribbons from first to sixth place and surpassed last year’s 28 ribbons including one first and 10 second places. Lordsburg contributed 16 ribbons with three swimmers.
