An alumni match between Lordsburg and Animas takes place Thursday August 21 at 7 00 PM on the LHS football field Admission is 1 for adults and 50 for children in a community fundraiser event
Lordsburg High School Maverick football plans a Saturday scrimmage against Deming at 2 p.m. in Maverick Stadium. Admission is a bar of soap or a towel. Earlier, the LHS junior class will host an enchilada dinner at 11 a.m. in the Cafetorium.
The Kopper Kaper Square Dancers of Playas invite all residents to a Tuesday evening social on August 26 at 6:30 in the Playas Community Center. A main dish plus salad or dessert is required. Caller Howard McKinney will lead participation and lively toe tapping.
