Myrtle Hindman Funeral Wednesday in Lordsburg
Mrs Myrtle Hindman died Sunday afternoon in El Paso Texas at age 57. She moved to Lordsburg in 1919 with her husband and leaves two daughters and two sons with six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Nazarene Church with a three member singing trio and family pallbearers.

National Guard Battery C Starts Two Week Encampment
The local National Guard unit Battery C 716th AAA Group leaves for a two week encampment from August 15 to 28. Training will cover specialist duties for their unit with access to swimming pools libraries golf courses and post exchanges. Recruits are being sought as enlistments remain open for a few more men.

Bernard Freeburg sails to Rotterdam with Kenneth Fugate of Denison and Norman Drubeck of Holland after receiving a fellowship. They will tour Europe for about five weeks before attending the University of Rotterdam this fall. Bernard previously attended Oklahoma A and M and worked in Albuquerque this summer.
