Lordsburg Coronado Theater Destroyed By Blaze
A fast spreading fire gutted the Coronado Theater in Lordsburg after an 8:25 p.m. report from Deputy Chavez. The blaze started in an air cooler room on the roof, fed by a westerly wind, and the building’s four adobe walls and seat scaffolding were left a charred ruin. The theater opened in 1948 and was owned by Warren Theaters Inc at the time of the destruction.
