Tasheed Temple No. 99 D O K K held its Spring Ceremonial on April 17 with five Tyros Frank Bowman Lloyd D Jackson W B Clayton Marshall Kuykendall and J P Humphries. Out of town visitors came from Globe and Morenci Arizona including District Deputy Imperial Prince Wm C Penrose. Lordsburg National Guard Site Sought at Airport
General Sage of the New Mexico National Guard proposed a Lordsburg site at the airport for a future guard facility. The plan envisions 838 acres with utilities at the Fair Grounds and water gas and fencing options. Local council members were contacted and a committee to study land purchase was mentioned.

Hospital Drive Nearing Goal in Lordsburg Fund
Donations to the hospital fund have grown toward the target as Lordsburg residents and several groups contribute. Pledges include Banner Mining Co 500, Mr and Mrs C M Williams 25.90, McIntosh 500, First National Bank 500, Romney Produce 1000, and Wrights Bakery 250, among others. The campaign urges further gifts to begin building a hospital the town will be proud of.

Lordsburg Airport Gains Tenfold Value From WAA Gift
The Lordsburg New Mexico municipal airport receives 358.3 acres of land and 14 buildings with equipment plus 2,000 feet of fence from the War Assets Administration. Previously given 480 acres valued at 180,954 dollars and later 179,402 dollars in new property bring total transfer value to 350,000 dollars. Buildings will be dismantled for use in the airport, and Deming also receives 143,126 dollars worth of buildings and equipment for its public airport.
