Leading Southwest Geologist Charles Botsford Killed at Home

Charles W. Botsford chief geologist of Inspiration Consolidated Copper died from a fainting spell at his Inspiration Arizona home. He had just returned from California and had worked with the company since 1919. His widow survives.

The C A magnates traveling by special Pullman arrived Tuesday afternoon to inspect the mine in apple pie condition. Directors from multiple cities joined President Gordon Campbell and others as they toured underground and praised Balmforth. Supt. Supt Houser reports Lordsburg City Schools followed Arbor Day direction planting thirteen trees as part of a progressive program. Nine truckloads of dirt filled four by four feet holes, cottonwood trees planted with a six foot fence. gratis water and janitors to water year round. Pinal Oil Company Making Progress Near Bowie

Mr. Peterson of Superior and Mr. Crawford formed the Pinal Oil Company about six months ago. A derrick is up and a 600 foot hole is in the ground near Bowie in the Bowie Oil field. Gas and oil showings have occurred despite delays from quicksand and casing issues. More test wells are anticipated in the area.

Mr and Mrs J H Waid of New York traveling with three sons and three daughters in law and a three month old grandchild were involved in a motor mishap at Rodeo as the Stork arrived. Dr Crocker rushed to Rodeo aiding the baby Catheryn Ward born on the trip. The family plans to continue to California once the infant is older, and the camp owner has named a cabin Cathryn in honor of the first New Yorker born at his Rodeo Tourist Camp.

Summers family departs for Missouri medical studies

J L Wells urged widening the Shakespeare avenue ally from railroad to court house square nearly twofold at a luncheon club. He linked a beautified court house area to civic pride and cited Douglas as a model. Other speakers supported park plans for court house square with Gleason to supervise.

Elizabeth Garrett Charms Large New Mexico Audience

New Mexico poet laureate and noted blind composer and singer Elizabeth Garrett appeared at the Star Theatre on Friday night under the Lordsburg Woman's Club. She sang in multiple languages and performed her own elite song, drawing a large audience and praise from community members. Garrett stayed with the Gaes family for several days.

Easter Services Planned by Church of Christ Program

Former Silver City girl Dewey McGrath Culberson has gained notice in Los Angeles as a voice student. She appeared in recital with sister Ida McGrath at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music, earned a teaching certificate in June, and sang at a musical with Dr. William Chapman of New York.
