Columbus Log Home to Tour Fort Worth Lumber Show

A Columbus log home from Portland Oregon 311 ft tall and nine ft in diameter travels to Fort Worth for the upcoming lumbermen convention. The two room unit has built in features electric lights and Pullman berths as Mr and Mrs Wade drive it to the event.

Rich Apache hills district yields big ore profits

Fred H. Nye, president of Eagle Lead Co, mines surface ore near the Apache hills in southwest New Mexico near El Paso. He develops 20 adjoining claims spanning 360 acres, reporting $20 000 from surface work and plans to profit from ore bodies opened on the claims. The Apache mine already shows a million dollars in profits.

Chase and Ownby Re elected Unopposed in Lordsburg

Lordsburg residents re elected school board members H. M. Chase and R. B. Ownby without opposition praising efficiency. The election board included Mrs. B. E. Jones and W. F. Holt as judges with Mrs. Elizabeth Gammon and Miss Inez Wright serving as clerks. Chase nearly swept all votes and Ownby within five.

Italian plane set ablaze at Roosevelt Lake during world flight

Commander De Pinedo's four continent monoplane, greeted by Mayor Leo Smith at Hot Springs, caught fire and burned in Roosevelt Lake after passing Lordburg at 8:23 a.m. yesterday. The crew will dispatch another aircraft and resume the world flight.

Womans Club met in the club rooms for routine business and a paper by Mrs. Buvens. Refreshments were provided by Mrs. Keime Mrs. Olney and Mrs. Egon.
