Kidnap Suspect Arrested Here By Undersheriff
Eugene W. Howard was returned to Phoenix to face kidnapping charges after being arrested by Undersheriff Leroy McCarty in the clerk’s office. At a Historical Society gathering last Thursday three guests from Silver City spoke on Map Cave. The interpreters described Map Cave’s meaning its use by a medicine man and related pre ceremonials and religious rites. The cave resembles a map with drawn trails and symbols.
