Norman Russell Bell of the Albuquerque Theatre Arts Center wrote New Mexico America's Enchanted Land for the 1962 Golden Anniversary statehood celebration. The piece, with Spanish translation by Teodoro Knight, highlights the state's scenery and history as Bell’s long career as conductor director and educator is noted.
The Woman's Club sponsored a Cafetorium style show last Saturday night drawing a capacity crowd. Models displayed outfits from playtime to evening wear with matching accessories and 1912 era hair styles. Mrs Schulz oversaw the event with Becky Mazon presenting the 1962 twist.
Mr and Mrs Jack Cummings announce the arrival of Eileen Mildred born March 15 in Espanola New Mexico. She has four siblings Jimmy Susan Bobby and Carolyn. Mrs Cummings was the former Isabelle Wright.
