Democrats Adopt District-Wide Nomination Rule in Grant County

The Grant County Democratic Central Committee voted Saturday to abolish the old primary rule and adopt a district wide system for selecting legislative and district nominees. Hidalgo county will join the new plan, ensuring voters across Grant, Hidalgo and Luna counties have a say in district nominations.

The House of Ramon is chosen for presentation at the Ted Knolle pageant by Giza Junior College of Thatcher Arizona. The desert theatre near Safford hosts the annual Easter Arizona event with a thirty person cast, twelve water choruses led by 125 participants, Arabs, priest attendants, soldiers, and courtiers. The production uses Hed Knolle desert’s acoustics and natural scenery for an outdoor theater experience.
