Pre Registration Set For Animal School Orientation Day

Animal School will hold a pre registration Friday April 21 for next year's kindergarten class. On April 21 regular kindergarten pupils stay home while future kindergartners and their parents attend orientation and pre registration. Bring birth certificates and immunization records.

McNutt Named Citizen of Year at Lordsburg Banquet

Don McNutt Hidalgo County Paramedic was named Citizen of the Year by the Lordsburg Hidalgo County Chamber of Commerce in a Friday banquet drawing a standing ovation from 130 attendees. McNutt’s heroics rescuing lives with the Hidalgo County Emergency Ambulance Service were praised as he accepted the award. Governor Jerry Apodaca is slated to visit Lordsburg on April 11, touring schools, rest homes, parks, and city projects with a luncheon planned at Rice's Restaurant.
