Oberlin College students stage Gaza divestment protest
More than 130 Oberlin College students gathered outside Wilder Hall to demand the college divest from Israel over the occupation of Palestinian territories. Organizer Mary Ann Montgomery urged administration to sever financial links to war and oppression, joining other campuses nationwide in solidarity with Palestine.

Wellington expo center part of $12M fairgrounds project
Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington launches a four phase $12 million renovation, adding a 55,000 square foot expo center, a 32,500 square foot covered horse arena, and a 14,400 square foot cattle barn. Phases one and two focus on ground work and concurrent building with a mid 2025 tentative finish. Local drug take back nets 3297 pounds in Lorain County drive
Lorain County Drug Task Force and 15 departments collected 3297.86 pounds of unwanted prescriptions during the 26th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The Amherst Police Department led with 44 boxes. Maj. Rich Bosley stressed removing medications to prevent unsafe use. The DEA will transport and securely destroy the collected drugs.
