Victoria Woodhull film to premiere at Lorain Historical Society
A new documentary titled Victoria Woodhull Shattering Glass Ceilings debuts September 15 at the Lorain Historical Society. It recounts Woodhull born 1838 Homer Ohio as the first woman to run for US president and first female Wall Street broker with interviews and reenactments featuring Kate Luke Aspen Bott and Debra Rose.

Pot sales begin in Lorain County amid cannabis rollout
Ten months after Ohio voters approved full marijuana legalization the non medical cannabis market opens in Lorain County. FRX Elyria Craft Cannabis Medical Dispensary at 709 Sugar Lane Elyria is among three county dispensaries now open while the state issues dual use certificates of operation to 98 eligible outlets. Certificates allow residents to buy cannabis though provisional licenses still restrict sales at some sites. Other Lorain County facilities Klutch The Citizen by Klutch 5152 Grove Ave Sheffield Township and RISE Medical Dispensary 1920 Cooper Foster Park Road Lorain will also receive operation certificates.
