Born September 1 1837 in Lancaster County Pennsylvania she lived in Freehold since 1856 and is survived by three daughters Mrs Ivins Mrs Tygon and Mrs Lawrence and a son Joseph Yard. Private funeral services will be held Monday.

Drowned Man Identified After Amboy Tailor Label Found
Coroner identifies the drowned man found ashore near Sandy Hook as Jeremiah Haley of South Amboy after his sister’s family recognize a tailoring label on his clothes. The 61 year old single brick yard worker disappeared last November and was last seen in South Amboy. The body, likely in the water about two weeks, will be shipped to South Amboy for burial arrangements.

Rumson Bottler Near Fatally Injured in Horse Wagon Mishap
Rumson bottler Joseph Strohmanger, about 52, narrowly escaped death after his wagon of manure collided with frightened horses near the J Horace Harding place. The wagons neck yoke slipped, the wagon halted abruptly, and the driver was struck by wheels with the right ear torn off and the nose broken. He was carried to a gardener’s house and later to his home in serious condition but with hope for recovery. doctors advised a Monday consultation and possible amputation of the badly injured right arm. Strohmanger previously survived a beer wagon train collision at Sea Bright in 1910.
