A four round boxing bout was announced but did not proceed as contestants halted the match to snack on watermelon. The horse was treated. the auto suffered lamp fender and radiator damage. no one in the stage was hurt. A Freehold party’s auto along Broadway near Fifth Avenue caught fire from underseat waste, sparking a bucket brigade by Walter Shinn and volunteers. Only wooden floor burned. car and visitors continued to the baseball game.

Bicycle Thief Sentenced to Eighteen Months
Carl Schmidt, caught stealing Louis Ennis's bicycle on Broadway, pleaded guilty and was sentenced by Judge Foster to eighteen months in Rahway Reformatory.
