St Luke's Church Golden Jubilee Reunion Proceedings

A St Luke's Church golden jubilee reunion closing service drew about 200 visitors. A musical program featured Prof Parmlow and other artists while reviving old ties and serving refreshments. Bishop Berry of Buffalo will preach tomorrow with a large meeting planned.

Mrs Mabel Davis Rockwell, a New York soprano, and Mr Wm H Pagdin of Holy Trinity and St Mark's Philadelphia will sing at morning and evening services. Another bicycle thief is captured in broad daylight

Louis Ennis of Union avenue stopped a man who rode off with a wheel in front of Disbrow's store. The thief claimed it was his, but fled when chased. Carl Schmidt from Lee Bright was identified, chased by Ennis to Fifth Avenue, arrested by Patrolman Finn, and later pled guilty. Bail set at $300.

Mrs Mary Watts Dies After Long Illness at Daughter’s Home

Mrs. Mary A. Watts aged 65, wife of William Watts, died at her daughter Mrs. A R Herron’s Dudley Street home after six months bedridden with complications. Survived by son Charles A. Sea Bright Carnival Plans Completed

Arrangements for Sea Bright carnival on Friday and Saturday August 5 and 6 are under way.
